SECTION ABSTRACT

Protecting the privacy of customers and ensuring that their details are not disclosed to unauthorised persons.

Just Car Service are covered by the Privacy Act 1988 and adheres to the National Privacy Principles in its management of personal information.

It is the responsibility of all franchisees to protect the information they receive from their customers. Customers must be assured that their personal information will not be used for unauthorised practices.

WHAT IS PERSONAL INFORMATION?

Personal information is information or an opinion (including information or an opinion forming part of a database) whether true or not, and whether recorded in a material form or not, about an individual whose identity is apparent, or can reasonably be ascertained, from the information. It includes all personal information regardless of its source.

Personal information relates to a natural living person. A natural person is a human being rather than, for example, a company.

Individuals may include: Customers, Suppliers, Employees, Independent contractors, Target Customers, Relatives of Employees etc.

Information may include address, age, phone numbers, salary, criminal records, employment records, vehicle details, credit card details etc.

WHAT JUST CAR SERVICE MAY COLLECT

The information Just Car Service (via the Just Car Service centre) may collect from Customers, includes name and address, contact telephone numbers including mobile, email address, accounting information, and vehicle details and history. Just Car Service may also collect additional details in order to provide a service to you.

This information is not legally required but is required in order to provide the services to the customer. If the Customer chooses not to provide this information, the Just Car Service centres may not be able to provide the service to the Customer. If that is the case, the franchisee should advise the customer.

WHY JUST CAR SERVICE COLLECTS INFORMATION

Just Car Service provides customers with automotive repair maintenance and servicing (including related retail sale of automotive parts) of customer’s motor vehicles.

Just Car Service needs to collect certain information from you in order to provide the above services but also to ensure that we can provide a quality and personalised service to you.

HOW JUST CAR SERVICE COLLECTS THE INFORMATION

The information Just Car Service collects is, in most cases, provided when the Customer has their motor vehicle first serviced by a Just Car Service centre. Just Car Service (via its franchisee) may collect additional information during subsequent telephone conversations and services. Just Car Service may also collect information from the Customer when the Customer makes an enquiry with a Just Car Service Centre either by telephone, internet or in person. Just Car Service and/or its franchisee may add additional information from external sources to Customer’s information, in order to verify the accuracy of Customer’s information.

WHO JUST CAR SERVICE MAY SHARE CUSTOMER INFORMATION WITH

The information may be used and disclosed to Just Car Service Service Centres, the Franchisor, the Franchisee and other third parties for the purpose of administration, repair, credit applications and other matters relating to the Customer or their vehicle. Information may also be used and disclosed for the purpose of marketing, promotions, customer surveys and warranty issues

From time to time Just Car Service may provide de-identified and aggregated information to third parties for various purposes.

In addition, Just Car Service may disclose your information to:

  • • the Customer’s authorised representatives or legal advisers,
  • • Credit reporting and fraud checking agencies,
  • • Just Car Service related companies (such as VACC Roadside),
  • • Just Car Service professional advisors, including its accountants, auditor and lawyers, and
  • • Government and regulatory authorities and other organisations, as required or authorised by law.

THIRD PARTY SERVICE PROVIDER

Service Type: Message Push Service

SDK collects personal information type:

  • • Equipment information (IMEI / MAC / AndroidID / IDFA / OAID / OpenUDID / GUID / SIM card IMSI information, etc.): Used to identify unique users, ensure accurate delivery of messages; optimize push channel resources, we will depend on the app The active situation, integrates the channel resources that the message is pushed, to increase the message delivery rate for the developer; provide the developer with intelligent label and display business statistics;
  • • Network information and location information (IP address, WiFi information, base station information, etc.): Optimize the network connection request of the SDK and the Aurora server to ensure the stability and continuity of the service; the functions of the regional push.
  • • APP installation list information: We provide you with intelligent push feature, recommended by this information more in line with the push content you need, reducing the budging of your users, you can choose to turn this service

SECURITY

Just Car Service and the Franchisee will take all reasonable steps to store the Customer’s information securely. The Customer’s information is not to be used or disclosed for any purpose other than those outlined herein.

The Franchise should ensure that its staff are aware of its obligations and take steps to ensure that they do not disclose private information.

CUSTOMER INFORMATION

Just Car Service (and its franchisee) shall take all reasonable steps to ensure the quality of information held is accurate and up-to-date, and not misused or disclosed to any unauthorised third party. Just Car Service shall also review all customer information held on a regular basis and destroy any records no longer required in an appropriate manner.

If the Customer requires further information regarding how Just Car Service or its franchisee manage personal information, wish to request access to such information, have any concerns over the way personal information is managed by Just Car Service (or a franchisee), or if the Customer believe that a breach of his privacy has occurred, the Customer are encouraged to contact Just Car Service or the Franchisee.

INDEPENDENT BUSINESS

Just Car Service Stores are owned and operated by company & independent franchisees. Despite their corporate entity each franchisee is solely responsible for its own repairs and servicing.
